With the release of Battlefield 3, EA have replaced the usual in-game server browser with a web-based menu, allowing players to manage all aspects of the game from a web page.  With Battlefield 3 offering 64 a-side player maps, the emphasis is clearly on social gameplay. But have EA jumped on the social networking bandwagon too quickly? Is this what players want?

Microsites, often looked upon like the poor cousin of the website, smaller but by no means less important they are often over looked in many digital strategies. But microsites, websites that can range from a single landing page to several, are all about providing a focused branded experience for a particular product or service. This focus can really help in targeting a specific audience more niche or different to the parent site.

We here at GO1 undeniably love our regular expeditions to JB HI-FI to ogle the latest technology but one thing that has really irked us when we hop online is the store’s web presence.

The most popular browsers are IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari and while each has their advantages and disadvantages, it largely comes down to personal choice. 

While Internet Explorer has always been the dominant force, Firefox is gaining, and with the lightweight and speedy Google Chrome increasing its presence, developers need to ensure that they are building sites which work for the user, regardless of the browser.
